LUCK repels the basic boys and their basic behaviors by raising the “effort” bar in online dating.

Basic Behavior 1: Swiping Right Indiscriminately
Basic boys dont spend time looking at profiles. Instead, they swipe right on everyone, making most matches meaningless. To combat this, we’ve created a three-swipe system that makes guys THINK before they swipe.

Basic Behavior 2: Leading Women on For Sex
On most apps, it’s hard to tell what the other person is truly after, empowering basic boys to be “players.” To stem this, we make users disclose their intent by swiping right for a REAL like and down for a FUN like. We only match users who share the SAME intent.

Basic Behavior 3: Sending Awful First Messages
Basic boys often send openers that are way too forward, use pickup lines they find on the Internet, or ask you “Wut up?” We’re eliminating all of this with word puzzles that make guys THINK before they write.
